In defense of the somewhat sloppy composition… I was driving at the time. Sure I could have pulled over but we were behind schedule, I didn’t wanna wake up my passenger, and that’s not nearly as much fun!

Just east of the Hoover Dam on U.S. 93, Tom Zwart, of Henderson, Nv., takes a photograph of the Colorado River Bridge as the bridge's arch nears completion. Zwart has been documenting the progress of its construction for the past one and a half years. The nearly 2000 ft long bridge is part of the Hoover Dam Bypass project and is scheduled to be completed in late 2010.

Vegas

It’s a sad truth, but I did forget to grab my camera for our little car tour of Vegas, and the funny thing is I’m not too sorry about it.  I got to try out the camera on my new phone and was really quite pleasantly surprised… until I uploaded them onto my computer where they could no longer hide behind the tiny, high-contrast, glossy screen of my cellphone.

But here they are anyways, toned to bring back some of that deep glossy black I thought they had. Even if they’re nothing special here, they still make really nice wallpapers on my phone.
